Its counterintuitive that sitting in front of a computer all day is the way to get ready for a bike trip...

but on last summer's ride I learned how important it was to get our speaking events lined up months ahead, especially for the types of audiences we hope to reach this summer. 

So with 11 weeks to go,  I'm spending lots of time on the internet and the phone reaching out to folks all over the country. The exciting part is that I'm discovering other doctors and nurses who've come to the same conclusion I have and are dedicating themselves to combating climate change.  I'm optimistic that connecting will  make us stronger and more effective, and I get to look forward to meeting all these cool people in person once we finally hit the road.
